About Us
Deepak Kejariwal
Hey! My name is Deepak and I am a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania. My interest in medicine was initially sparked when I was a young child. I was in my doctor’s office playing “I spy” with my mom and sister — as was custom — and after looking at all of the various instruments that the doctor used, my interest was piqued. I didn’t know it at the time, but this habitual experience was really the catalyst for my curiosity in medicine. However, it was not until recently that I became aware of the opportunities I had as a high school student to pursue this dream, which is why my sister and I created Sweatshirts to Scrubs. We hope that we can use our experience to give your child an early exposure to medicine and the opportunities that exist within this field.
Other than medicine, I enjoy volunteering, playing soccer, traveling abroad, and defeating my opponents in ping pong. I referee youth soccer and enjoy being a part of various facets of children’s lives. I am also conducting pediatric research as this field interests me greatly. I am an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, and have always wanted to win season tickets. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out!

Hi!! My name is Anjali and I am a senior at Spring-Ford High School. I have always been interested in science, especially medicine. Although most people hate going to the doctor’s office, I have always looked forward to annual check-ups, flu shots, dental cleanings, and orthodontic appointments. For me, going to the doctor’s office gave me a chance to learn practical applications of science, rather than what I learned in school. As I look back on these visits to various doctors, I think the exact moment I knew I wanted to practice medicine was when I sprained my ankle for the first time. While the doctors were taking my x-rays and trying to figure out what was wrong with my foot, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world! Little did I know that once this injury healed, I would get the chance to experience the same thing for another six times…
Outside of school and the doctor’s office, my biggest passion is Bollywood dancing and teaching children of all ages to dance. I also LOVE traveling, watching football, and reviewing the best dessert shops in every city. With Sweatshirts to Scrubs, I want to inspire children like me who have the dream of practicing medicine and educate them about the future that they choose.
