Agenda

Here are some examples of activities we will be running during our clinics. They are broken down by day. This is the planned agenda for sessions that are five days long. Please note that we may be doing more activities in addition to the ones listed below, and that these are just some examples.

Day 1

Skeletal System

Build the Hand

This interactive project will allow the students to understand how joints and their bones work together to function correctly.

Build Bone Marrow out of Toilet Paper!

Through this activity, students will learn about the different layers of the bone and their function.

Day 2

Students will be able to experience and track the muscle contractions in their body parts.

Exercise Time

Muscles Everywhere!

Students will choose an occupation and describe which muscles they would use in their everyday lives.

Day 3

Immune System

Glitter Germs

We will demonstrate how germs travel and how much actually leave after washing hands by using glitter to mimic germs.

Paint your own germs

Using paint, the students will create a new germ and make a story involving the germ - creating a new sickness, the symptoms, and how to treat it.

Day 4

COVID-19 and Viruses

After learning about viruses, we will go over some questions that the students have about COVID-19, and will teach them more about this virus.

Question Time!

Model a Virus

Students will make the different types of viruses out of Play-doh and will see the differences in shape, spikes, and size. They will learn about the symptoms of each virus and and why they each look differently.

Day 5

Vital Organs

Students will be able to understand the layers of skin and it's function by creating their own skin out of dried glue.

Glue Hand

"Eye" spy

In this fun game, students will compete against each other to spot hidden images first. After, they will learn about the eye and how they were able to find these pictures.
