Support Services

Support Services is a department of The Resistance, established to give support to the rest of The Resistance. While not the most glamorous branch of The Resistance Forces, it was crucial in the ongoing Galactic Civil War. As a department under the command of The Quartermaster General, Support Services is headed by one of the Chief of Support Services. It works closely with Ordnance and Supply; while Ordnance and Supply is responsible for procuring weapons, supplies, and equipment, Support Services is responsible for the physical transport of the items.

Support Services is responsible for The Resistance supply fleet, a collection of transports ranging from light freighters to bulk freighters. The officers and crew in the support fleet are a varied group. Some are lifelong professional spacers and merchants, some of whom continue to uphold generations-long family tradition flying the spacelanes. Others are starfighter pilots on temporary duty assignments due to injuries or critical supply needs. Occasionally, officer from other departments within The Resistance are temporarily reassigned to Support Services to fulfill critical transportation or logistic needs.
