As a 2024, Texas State University graduate, I was able to graduate as Summa Cum Laude for maintaining a 4.0 throughout my college career.
During my time at Texas State University, I received the College of Liberal Arts Award both years that I attended the college.
In every semester of my college career, I was awarded Dean's List Recipient for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher.
In my last cross country season, I received the "Lord Byron" award which is an award that exemplifies leadership, responsibility, and good character all around. My coach chose me as a Lady Lord Byron for the 2021 cross country season for showing good character both in sports and in academics. While being a straight-A student, I was also the girls' cross country & track captain and a three-year varsity runner.
As a TAFE State qualifier for the years 2021 and 2022, I was able to gain more knowledge and experience as a future educator. I was given the opportunity to learn from and talk to other future educators as well.
As a cross country runner who has been running since 7th grade, my most proud moment as a runner has been qualifying to regionals with my team my 2021 cross country season. My cross country team had been training since May 2021 in order to receive this award. We practice/run every single day while also doing other workouts such as weight room and body weight workouts. Our cross country season of 2020, we were last in our district, but this year we came out in third and qualified to regionals.
Through my teaching internship, I was able to earn the "Intern of the Month" award where I was nominated by my mentor teacher and chosen for showcasing strong leadership skills in the classroom. To the right are the screenshots of the two emails sent by my mentor teacher, which describe why she is nominating me for this award.
As I've applied to a various amount of colleges, I've been chosen to receive several academic scholarships that I've received for an achievement of high grades. I have received a $28,000 scholarship from the University of Oklahoma, a $24,000 scholarship from Texas State University and an $8,000 scholarship from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
