Let's celebrate Holi! Students in this class will learn about the history and traditions of Holi, also known as the "Festival of Colors," including learning why this holiday and festival are an important part of Hindu culture. We will read stories about Holi, write and draw, learn new vocabulary, explore color theory, and more. The class will conclude with the Holi tradition of throwing colored powder (so wear clothes that can get messy!)
This class is non-sectarian and will discuss religion from the perspective of history and social science. The course does not advocate any particular religious beliefs.

Darby is excited to share her passion for religious literacy and create impactful and immersive learning experiences for her students!

This exciting St. Patrick’s Day class is packed with fun and discovery! Students will dive into the history and traditions of this lively holiday, learning why it holds such a special place in Irish culture. They’ll enjoy fascinating stories about St. Patrick, taste delicious traditional treats, and dance along to lively Irish music. The fun continues with hands-on STEM challenges, creative writing and drawing activities, new vocabulary words, and even a colorful exploration of art and design. Get ready for a festive celebration filled with learning, laughter, and a bit of Irish luck!
