This water fountain is the creation of
Joe Daley from
J&A Plumbing. This beautiful piece of art was hand crafted from recycled eye wash stations. The fountain is fed from a dedicated water line on a battery powered timing solenoid valve that fills the bowls for 1 minute every hour to supply fresh water at all times. The rocks in the fountain are washed lava stones which give the bees something to hang on to. The fountain is located about 20 feet from the hive and is an extremely active watering hole now that they have found it. At any given time, you can find 15-20 bees hanging out on the rocks on this three tier design. A few pictures of the fountain on this website were taken early on and we've since added a lot more lava rocks to insure the bees don't drown.
