UPenn Pre-College Programs

The Pre-College Programs are designed for academically curious high school students interested in the intellectual challenge of Ivy League academics. Students enroll in undergraduate courses from a wide array of disciplines taught by Penn faculty, staff, and visiting scholars and are in class alongside other Penn undergrads.

Applicants do not need to be residents or citizens to apply. We accept applications from all over the world and do not differentiate based on country of citizenship or status in relation to US citizenship.

Application fee: $75

Pricing: There is a $1,500 nonrefundable deposit for all programs. There is also a nonrefundable application fee of $75, payable by credit card through our online application system. Financial aid and fee waivers are available. 

• Residential Program Tuition:

Course Unit 1: $8,000 program fee, $4,830 tuition cost, $416 general fee. Total cost of $13,246

Course Unit 1.5: $8,000 program fee, $7,245 tuition, $416 general fee. Total cost of $15,661

Course Unit 2: $8,000 program fee, $9,600 tuition, $416 general fee. Total cost of $18,076

Course Unit 2.5: $8,000 program fee, $12,075 tuition fee, $416 general fee. Total cost of $20,491

• Online Program Tuition:

Course Unit 1: $2,600 program fee, $4,830 tuition, $416 general fee. Total cost of $7,846

Course Unit 2: $2,600 program fee, $9,660, $416 general fee. Total cost of $12,676

Eligibility: Applicants should have a minimum 3.3 high school GPA, writing that shows both technical skill and intellectual depth, strong recommendations, and a variety of extracurricular interests.
