Benzaiten

And here is my painting of Benzaiten:

I got the idea for this from a painting by Utamaro, another famous ukiyo-e artist, though the painting may not have been a woodblock print. This one doesn’t have a white snake or dragon, but it might be fun to add one. I found the hands in Utamaro’s original to be awkward, so I changed them a little. My biwa is larger than his, and Benzaiten’s clothing is a little simpler. There are lots of pictures of Benzaiten on the web.
