In previous lessons, we covered three shades of ink which are from darkest to lightest, nōbuko, chūboku, and tanboku. Bamboo were painting with a combination of chokuhitsu (vertical) and sokuhitsu (slanting) strokes. For roses, we covered painting with and without lines; techniques respectively called senbyō-hō and mōkkōtsu-hō. This week, we will study a painting technique that combines those two, kōrokutensai-hō -- 鈎勒点彩法.
