We needed a rack for our tea boxes. After a quick Google Sketchup session, I headed to the garage.
I had some 4/4 walnut, along with a couple small rough cut pieces.
Using the table saw, I took them down to size and cut some dados in a few of the pieces.
I began by gluing the mitered boxes together so I could cut some reinforcing splines into the corners.
For the spline cuts, I built a table saw jig I could attach to my crosscut sled.
I used a small cocobolo slice for the splines.
The glue-up was done one side at a time.
Hanging to apply finishing.
Finished!
