In Fall 2017 I took a device design class that culminated in a project where 3 teammates and I built a device that used the passive airflow of windows to assist in the management of air quality and temperature in older classrooms. We named it Aurai.
It involved using Android SDK to create an app that a user used to control the opening/closing of a window. The point of the format was to create a product that could retrofit onto old casement windows and turn them into "smart windows". This made it possible to have them open when the air temperature outside is more desirable than the current indoor air temperature.
