Rotary cam

While working on a small handheld product I had the chance to design a rotary cam that provided multiple stable positions for the axle, and a smooth force profile while shifting between states. Features that involve a user's finger are critical due to the extreme sensitivity to friction, bumps, etc. Tuning the force profile took many prototypes, but we got to something that felt excellent by the end.
