Ray Haberken (RAY HAB-er-ken) is a recurring CPU fighter in the Street Wise series. Known for being vulgar, loud, and brutal, he originally fought with a cutlass. He is a homage to the historical figure Captain William Kidd. He has a large scar across his cheek, presumably caused by older opponents. His real name is only revealed in Street Wise: Roar of the Celestials.
Ray Haberken rose to power by establishing himself as a respected, wealthy privateer in New York, capitalizing on his reputation to secure a high-profile, royally backed commission to hunt pirates. Initially a successful privateer for England in the 1690s, he built connections with influential British lords to gain a 1695 commission from King William III to attack French ships and pirates in the Indian Ocean.
He is a minor character in the series; therefore, there is not much lore in his name.
Good at dealing with sinking ships but not as well as Fabrizio, he and Yasakani are pretty easy to understand when it comes to the sea. Fabrizio is the best option, though.
AKA Captain Kidd in the Japanese version of Street Wise.
