Answer - If you only paraphrase someone else's information or idea it is still counted as plagiarism. Without crediting the original author or artist that is plagiarism, so Plagiarism is counted if you do not do one of the following: Paraphrasing the information or idea, crediting the original author or artist, putting quotation marks to unchanged content and then stating the original author after putting the quotations. So Plagiarism always has a small percentage in your work no matter what you do.
Question - What is the main form of plagiarism?
Answer - I think and I think I can say for most teachers and students, plagiarism without intention is the most common form of plagiarism in school, because nowadays students even with low grades must do research and presentations, and most of the younger students do not understand the forms of plagiarism, so they unintentionally plagiarise. But if you say it professionally, it is more common for people to know what plagiarism means. The most common form of plagiarism at this level is using it to get better jobs and higher salaries.
Question - How does plagiarism deteriorate human effort over time?
Answer - Think about it this way, when you spend hours of work and do your very best on a piece of artwork or information. And then someone just steals that from you, would you still be motivated to spend your effort and time doing something just for someone to take it away from you? Wasting your effort and time? No. People will not be motivated to put their effort or time into information if people just plagiarise. So that's also why plagiarism has severe consequences because plagiarism has the potential to ruin human effort, and the consequences must match the actions.
Question - What do you think the root cause of plagiarism is?
Answer - I think as an MYP teacher that the root cause of plagiarism in middle and high school is either poor time management or study issues. So bassically if students have alot of projects that they have to do they might forget about one or two projects, then later near the deadline and due date they are in a rush to finish the project otherwise they will fail. So the fear of failing overcomes the fear of being caught so they resort to plagiarism as a last chance. They might also have a subject where they feel lazy to do or un interested or they have too much to do, so for the less important projects they might use plagiarism to quickly finish because for them that subject does not matter.
Question - Will plagiarism deteriorate the amount of effort people are willing to give?
Answer - Well my answer for this question is the same for the question you gave me earlier, Think about it this way, when you spend hours of work and do your very best on a piece of artwork or information. And then someone just steals that from you, would you still be motivated to spend your effort and time doing something just for someone to take it away from you? Wasting your effort and time? No. People will not be motivated to put their effort or time into information if people just plagiarise. Thats a good way to think about it, in your own perspective.
Jebby:

Question- What type of plagiarism can destroy human effort?
Answer- When someone steals work that you spent your effort and hours in that is the type of plagiarism that destroys human effort. Although plagiarism has many forms each form affects human effort in different ways. But the type of plagiarism that is the worst is when they do not even credit you, they do not respect you that way and your motivation is lost this way, so in this form of plagiarism, they do not even respect your efforts in the slightest which may also cause mental health concerns while also destroying human effort.
