Viola Piece
Written over Christmas (24th-26th December 1986) this tuneful piece was written for a friend who played the viola and benefits from the richer sound of the viola, although I have subsequently played to good effect with a violinist (transposing up an octave here and there).
The scrunchy chords in the piano are meant to be the sound footsteps make crunching new snow.
