淨土發願文記載：彌陀因昔本誓：「若有眾生欲生我國，志心信樂，乃至十念，若不生者，不取正覺。」於是，眾生以此念佛因緣，得入如來大誓海中。承佛慈力，眾罪消滅，善根增長；若臨命終，心不顛倒，如入禪定，定能於一念頃生極樂國，花開見佛，即聞佛乘，頓開佛慧，廣度眾生，滿菩提願。

淨土三尊有大誓願，歲末感恩，拜其寶懺，必得護佑。若為先人一心求生佛國，佛及聖眾手執金臺，必來接引，令生西方極樂世界。

The Aspiration Prayer of Pureland stated: in Amitabha Primal Vows: “If the beings earnestly wish to rebirth into my land, even if they recollect such a thought for only 10 times, their wish will be granted. Otherwise may I not attain the enlightenment”. Through this commitment, the beings enter into the great ocean of Tathāgata. The power of Buddha’s loving kindness will expunge their sins, expand their roots of goodness & peace their minds at the end of life. In the instant of a thought, they will rebirth into the Land of Ultimate Bliss. There, the lotus flower will bloom. They will then see the Buddha, hear the Buddha Vehicle & unfold their Buddha wisdom. They will also widely deliver sentient beings & fulfill their bodhi vows.

The Pureland Trinity made great vows to guide us through difficulties. During this year-end, we shall practice repentance to express our gratitude honoring our ancestors and loved ones. If we make a Pureland Aspiration wholeheartedly for them, they will be received & greeted with golden lotus platforms by the Buddha as well as the Pureland Assembly.

《藥師懺法卷中》云：懺悔之功，諸病心療之靈劑，了生脫死之奇方。慈悲喜捨，忍辱柔和，正信三寶，勤修福慧，六波羅密，飽餐甘露，修真養氣，返本還元，有過能改，善巧方便，不動聲色，清心斷欲等，為治愈身心之妙藥。眾生之病皆幻病，如來之藥乃幻藥，蒙佛願力故，若聞藥師琉璃光如來名號，即可脫離病苦，究竟無上菩提。禮拜藥師寶懺，能令眾生衣食住行安穩，怨靈解冤脫苦，冥陽兩利。

According to 《Medicine Buddha Repentance Chapter II》: Repenting can heal various physical and mental illneses as well as to liberate one from Life and Death. Practicing kindness, compassion, joy, selflessness, humble, gentle, tolerance, have faith in triple jewels, self improvement, six paramitas, healthy diet, religious, meditation, pure heart, correct wrong doings, flexible, calm, self discipline, etc., are the cure of physical and mental health. Due to the great vow power, hearing the Medicine Buddha’s name, will relief all beings from the illnesses, sufferings, and eventually attaining the Buddhahood. Practicing MB repentance will lead to a good life, and to free the suffering spirits. It is beneficial to both the human and spiritual worlds.

《盂蘭盆經》記載：行慈孝者，應為現世父母、過去七世父母，於農曆七月十五佛歡喜日，齋施十方自恣僧，其現世父母，可無憂患苦，無病延年；七世父母，六親眷屬可離三途，增生人天，福樂無量。

法會殊勝，眾生若於禮懺期間，清淨三業，守戒行善。定能感應連連。

According to 《Ullambana Sutra》, by doing grand offerings to the great virtuous assembled Sangha of ten directions on the 15th day of 7th Lunar month,  the parents of current life & 7 generations past, as well as 6 generations relatives will be released from lower 3 paths, reborn in heaven & enjoyed boundless happiness

If the sentient beings can purify their mind, body and speech, follow the precepts & do good deeds during the repentance period, their prayers will be heard & answered. Everyone is welcome to register for the event. We also plead for the Guru Buddha to stay in the Saha World and to forever turn the dharma wheel.

感念先人恩德、悲憫無形眾生，欲報效親恩，超拔孤魂，禮懺功德最為顯著。若慈悲迴向法界，可獲5種功德利益：1. 懺悔夙愆，永熄惡業。2. 報四重恩，聞法解脫。3. 解冤釋結，清淨光明。4. 利益眾生，植福息災。5. 廣結善緣，貴人多助。

本寺感恩根本上師攝受照護並賜予弘法度眾慧命，特祈願佛父長久駐世，恒轉法輪，任運自在！

According to <Mahayana Sutra on Contemplation of the Mind-Ground of Essential Nature>: "If one covers up the sin, the sin will escalate; if one repents it, the sin will be removed." Repentance is the first step to get out of a dead-end situation. No matter how great the sin is, repenting is the only way out.

During the Chinese Memorial Season, the sentient beings can repent, regret and promise to stop their wrongdoings in front of the Thousand Buddhas. The great merit of Emperor Liang Repentance will set their ancestors and family members free from sufferings as well as to grant their wishes. Other than honoring our ancestors, we also plead for the Guru Buddha to stay in the Saha World and to forever turn the dharma wheel.

【Yellow Jambhala Mantra】:

"針"意為：神靈或聚集。“巴”意為：財寶或寶貴之物、福祿，官位等。“拉”意為：賜予。“針巴拉”即為：賜予眾生財寶福祿、滿足眾生“安居樂業，衣食無憂”條件之財神。

“Jam” means “Deity or gathering”. “Ba” means “wealth or precious achievement”. “La” means “to honor”. Jambhala” means “Precious Golden Deity, who honor the wealth of spirituality and material security/accomplishment to our lives”.

財神賜福速速發！ May the God of Wealth Bless You with the Karma of Prosperity!

Generally and secularly, many people may think that Annual Guardian (Tai Sui) propitiation and offering ritual is only required for those whose Zodiac signs are conflicted with Tai Sui of the year. The truth is, in order to promote happiness and longevity, to extinguish personal spiritual obstacles, and to create good spiritual causes, paying respect to Tai Sui of the year is highly recommended to everyone regardless of your Zodiac sign.
