A research expedition to Yavoriv district, Lviv region, was conducted
In addition to conducting research in scientific sources, the project involves the study of metal elements in museums and collectors in Ukraine, and the first expedition was conducted in the Yavoriv district of Lviv region.
The project's research is being conducted by Zoryana Kurilyak, founder of the Starlight necklace design studio and designer of necklaces, Rostyslav Shmahalo, Doctor of Art History, professor at the Lviv National Academy of Arts, author of the two-volume book Encyclopedia of Art Metal, and Solomiia Rybotytska, a graduate and lecturer at the Lviv I. Trush Professional College of Decorative and Applied Arts, and cultural manager.
During the research expedition, we visited the Museum of Artistic Crafts of Yavoriv Region at the State Educational Institution Art Vocational School named after Y.P. Stanko in Ivano-Frankovo, where we were assisted by the head of the Yavoriv branch of the National Union of Folk Artists of Ukraine, the director of the school, Mr. Vasyl Hevalo, and an artist-designer, member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine, master of industrial training in the profession of painter, woodcut artist and collector Mr. Roman Prystavsky.
We also visited the Yavoriv District Historical and Ethnographic Museum in Yavoriv, where we were assisted by the museum director Ms. Mariana Havryliuk, during our research.
