First 3D models of metal jewelry elements were developed
During implementation of the project "Decorative metal: metal elements of traditional Ukrainian neck jewelry" two training companies from the Republic of Poland have been involved as project partners, which provided valuable knowledge and practical skills in working with ZBrush and Rhinoceros programs for 3D jewelry modeling.
The training will help Zoriana Kuryliak, founder of the Starlight necklace design studio and designer of necklaces, to deepen her professional skills and enable her to 3D model metal elements for the Starlight necklace brand's signature necklaces to make her jewelry different from those of other designers.
During the training, the first 3D models of metal elements for necklaces have already been created.

Metal elements of jewellery made from 3D models, ethnic necklaces created
During her online 3D modelling course, Zoriana Kuryliak, the founder of the Starlight Necklace design studio and designer, created 3 fully completed 3D models of metal elements for necklaces, and several more models are still in progress. When designing the metal elements, the results of research on the metal elements of traditional necklaces were reinterpreted: in particular, sketches of the ancient Hutsul symbol "kosytsia" and traditional samples of Hutsul clasps - cheprags - were used to create models of the pendant and the adapter-connector for the necklace's strands.At the end of May 2024, Volodymyr Luchynskyi, an artist of decorative and applied arts, chairman of the cycle commission of the Metal Jewellery department of the Lviv I. Trush Professional College of Decorative and Applied Arts, adapted the created 3D models for 3D printing and casting in metal, organised their printing on a 3D printer and the manufacture of metal elements from brass.Zoriana Kuryliak used the new metal elements to create two ethnic necklaces: a necklace made of glass beads and semi-precious stones and a beaded sylianka.
