In early builds, the Banshee delivered an area of effect attack, which was removed by February 2008. The area of effect attack returned in the single-player campaign in the final product as an upgrade, dealing damage in a straight line. The Banshee originally had 150 HP as well.
Mule's attack was removed by April 2009 as well as it's repair function but was later reinstalled.
Mules were planned to harvest Vespene Gas, but would lose efficiency if more than one was assigned to a Refinery.
