The retirements are important tradition of the Jedi Order. The Staff members who retire within the Jedi Order will lose their abillity to host events, participate in tournaments, like Duelist of The Order and the other ones. The retirement announcments are posted in the #retirement_announcments channel in the Order's community server. Retired Staff members keep their staff-channels access, depending on what role did they retire (More information about retirement roles you will find below). Once you retire in good standing, you will recieve your retired role and will no longer be apart of the Staff team within the Jedi Order.
The retirement feature is limited only to Jedi Instructor(+) rank. You may retire in good standing, showing how good you served the Order. The individuals that wish to retire are required to meet some requirements in order to honorable retire from the Order, which are depending on what Jedi Instructor(+) rank are you. The retirement requirements + what role you recieve depending on your rank will be listed below. If you wish to retire, you may post your retirement announcment in #retirement_announcments channel, but make sure you meet the requirements below before retiring.
If one does not wish to post a retirement speech but still retire, they may request a JC+ to retire them.
Jedi Veteran - Successfully retire as Jedi Instructor or Jedi Master, meeting this requirements: Retire in good standing; Successfully pass 2 quota cycles. Jedi Veterans are respected retired members of the Order that served with loyalty, but sadly had to retire on their own decision. Jedi Veteran is only a discord role, all Veterans are ranked Knight on retirement.
Jedi Elder - Successfully retire as member of the Jedi Council and serving the Order with loyalty, meeting the following requirements: Retire in good standing, Pass Jedi Councilor trial, and hold the rank of Jedi Council for at least 2 months. (Retired MOTOs will recieve the "Ghost" role in the Discord server). Retired Jedi Councilors (Spirits) have showed loyalty to the Order, represented it with High Standard and proved the community they were eligible for their role.
The Ghost role can also be obtained by highly exceptional Jedi Councillors who never reached MOTO. This is only obtainable through a Council vote or through the Grandmaster executive clause.
Jedi Legends are the retired Grandmasters of the Jedi Order. The retired leaders of the Order (The Grandmasters) have showen loyalty, seriousness and leadership when they were Grandmasters and they obtain this role by retiring and choosing the next Grandmaster of the Jedi Order. (The Jedi Legend rank can also be obtained by the individuals who Askavix has seen showing loyalty, seriousness, leadership and extraordinary service to the Order).
People who wish to come back to TJO may also request to unretire and get active again. When you unretire, you go one rank below your original. Although, if you unretire within 24 hours, you will get a full rank-restore back to your original rank.
Retired Jedi Councillors are able to unretire one rank below to Jedi Master. Former JCs unretiring to JM get moderation permissions upon unretirement.
Retired Jedi Masters are able to unretire one rank below to Jedi Instructor.
If a Jedi Elder unretires to JM and then retires as a JM, they will receive Elder back. Does not apply the same for Jedi Veterans as they must retire either as a JI or JM to get Veteran again.
If a former JC who has unretired to JM before retires and then unretires, they will get one rank under which means they will get JI upon unretiring. If they retire again, they will still receive Elder back.
If a Jedi Elder accumulate 3 strikes upon retirement, they will lose their Elder and get demoted to Jedi Veteran (Knight). The Jedi Council also reserves the right to remove a retired Councillor's Elder if they deem the said retiree to be causing problems with their retired privileges or breaking rules etc...
