A promotion request should always be marked with a check mark whenever a promotion is in order.
It facilitates better channel clarity and makes it simpler to determine whether a request has been fulfilled or not. You may still mark something as "done" or "promoted," but always remember to use the checkmark!
It is important to confirm that a person has met the requirements for the promotion before granting them one, such as passing the right training, meeting the cooldown and fulfilling the requirements found in #trial-logs. When you are checking for people passing trials, do not blindly trust the individual who requested the promotion, check the trial requirements yourself.
The following ranks have these cool-downs:
Padawan to Jedi Knight: Three days
Jedi Knight to Jedi Instructor: Ten days
Jedi Instructor to Jedi Master: Two weeks
A Jedi Councillor must approve rank transfers.
Only if you have the necessary documentation attesting to that the user has ownership of both accounts, you may ask for a rank transfer. After confirming that the individual is the owner of both accounts, you must message a JC to request approval for the specified rank transfer.
Unless it is a JC+, a demotion must always have a valid reason and supporting documentation. Rank transfers and demoting people who wrongfully pass trials needs JC approval.
Demotions to any of the following are permissible without the approval of a Jedi Councillor:
Retirements.
TJO-banned people.
Ranked exploiters.
Denouncing Padawans. (If the justification is sound and they have waited for three days.)
Unretirements.
Rank Restores.
Requested Demotions.
