Once the two-week trial period is over, Jedi Masters will be assigned a special role known as "MOD PERMS." They will be able to access the #mod-evidence-logs, and #discord-logs channels with that role. With this role, they will receive special permissions that allow them to time out members and delete messages in non-JM chats within reason:
Warning for minor spam, if they persist then time them out. If they continue despite the timeout, DM a JC with proof.
Time out for major spam; DM JC to look into this further for a strike or kick/ban (if LR).
Arguing out of control: warn them to cease, time out for five minutes, and DM a JC to de-escalate or strike if it goes too far.
Compromised accounts which send fishy links should get an instant serverban until the account is no longer compromised. When you see a compromised account send scam links and such, immediately time them out for a week and delete the messages. Log in #mod-evidence-logs and notify a Jedi Councillor to ban.
When someone in the discord server sends NSFW, notify a JC+ immediately so they can handle it as NSFW is an instant strike. Dont log in #mod-evidence-logs since as a partnered server we aren't supposed to be keeping NSFW in the server.
Although, NSFW from LRs is an instant ban. If the NSFW is severe even from a Knight+ it can also be an instant ban. Depending on how severe the NSFW is will determine if its a discord-ban or a faction-ban.
Obviously, you can not erase every message sent by someone who spams, but if it gets serious, time the offender right away and provide a JC with proof.
If you are involved in an argument, try to resolve it by taking a professional approach, trying to understand the other person's point of view. Alternatively, you can make sure they take it elsewhere. If they ignore you then proceed to time them out for 5 minutes.
A Force Sensitive, Youngling, Initiate, or Padawan should be removed from the server if they receive three warnings in a row; if they receive more warnings, they will be banned. A verbal warning is still an effective way to deal with minor infractions.
It is okay to use abbreviations like "wtf," "lmao," "lmfao," "tf," and so on; do not moderate them. However, please do adhere to protocol if they are being used abusively or as a means of getting around it.
