In order to enhance student teacher interaction & communication and to provide students a better in-classroom experience, the Department of Education has setup smart classrooms in 162 Govt. schools, despite facing hurdles and challenges during the pandemic Covid 19 during 2020-21.
To provide a better understanding of the smart classrooms, hands on training for the teachers to get acquainted with the devices has also been imparted to teachers.
The schools installed with smart classrooms are fostering opportunities for teaching and learning by integrating learning technology such as computers, specialized software, audience response technology, assistive listening devices, networking and audio/ visual capabilities.
The smart classrooms become very beneficial for students in remote areas as in this learning process advanced technology is involved which attract the students towards learning.

Name of the work:
Supply, installation with electric wiring & cabling, testing, commissioning, maintenance, training, operation of Interactive Panel with accessories & providing lifetime offline digital e-content with a period of 3 years replacement warranty in 162 schools of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Details of the equipment in the Smart classroom
Interactive Panel : Wall mounted 65” Interactive Panel with 4K UHD panel having anti-glare glass, infra red touch technology, Speaker with life time of more than 30,000 hours with the features of Screen lock, Formula recognition, mathematical shape recognition, note sharing, page replay, Screenshot, Annotation, Smart writing, Spotlight, Session Recording etc.
Mini PC : Windows OPS (Mini PC) with 4 GB RAM and 1 TB HDD with WiFi, USB, HDMI, VGA, Audio in/out, Speaker connectivity
Other items : Document camera / Visualizer, Stylus / Touch Pen
Offline Contents : Offline NCERT eContent in bilingual language i.e. Hindi and English for the Smart Classrooms from Pre-Primary to Class XII with all main subjects viz. Rhymes, Painting, Stories, Animation, English, Hindi, EVS/ Science, Social Science, Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Political Science, History, Geography, Economics, Business studies, Accountancy, Home Science & JEE/ NEET Sample Questions with solution for practice.
