James A. Thomas Conservation Scholarship

An application for the 2026 scholarship is available below and will also be accessible on the Harford County Public Schools and HCC Office of Financial Aid websites.   Although this is a conservation scholarship in name, students applying do not have to be pursuing a conservation-related major.  Scholarship award is $1000.

You are eligible to apply for the scholarship if you are

• currently in Grade 12 and planning on entering into your first year of college/university in 2026

or

• currently in your first or second year of attending a college/university

and 

• a resident of Harford County, Maryland

or

• an active member or dependent of an active member of the IWLA Sportsman's Chapter residing outside of Harford County, Maryland
