Kelly Vaughan joined the chapter in 2020 and her willingness to help wherever needed has truly been inspiring. She served as Vice President and since 2023 has been our President.
Kelly thought it would be a great idea to start a Youth Club. With the help of her sister Amy and mom Karen, fun and interesting activities have been developed for Chapter youth to learn. From butchering a deer to actually painting duck decoy heads, the youth have enjoyed learning about different aspects of the outdoors. There has been an increase in the number of local families joining the Chapter, so that their kids can be a part of the Youth Club. We are fortunate to have Kelly’s leadership at the Chapter and look forward to where this next year will take the club.
Carl Glackin is our Chapter Tobin Award Winner for 2023! He's receiving his award from President Kelly Vaughan at our May 2024 meeting.
Carl has dedicated much of his time to helping the Chapter, whether is be at monthly Turkey Shoots or assisting at Youth Club meetings. He ran the Gun Raffle for the Chapter, with the proceeds supporting our Scholarship and Youth Club programs throughout the year. Carl serves on the Board and he is someone you can always count on. Thank you Carl and congratulations on your award!
Going once - going twice and the winner of the 2022 Tobin Award is Chad Arnold! This marks Chad's second time as our Chapter's Tobin winner - no wonder he looks so happy! President Kelly Vaughan presented the award at our May 2023 meeting.
All kidding aside, Chad is responsible for getting our Turkey Shoots going again after a long COVID hiatus. He's carrying on the tradition to honor his Dad, Doug Arnold, who we all sorely miss. Thank you Chad for all you do for us at the Chapter.
Doug Arnold receiving the Tobin Award from President Joe Nason at the November 2020 membership meeting
We presented the Tobin Award for 2019 to Chapter member Doug Arnold. Thank you Doug, for running our Turkey Shoots and being a member who we can count on when we need it!
The award was presented at our November meeting, a few months later than usual due to COVID, but definitely a well deserved accomplishment.
The Sportsman's Chapter received the IWLA Defenders Chapter Achievement Award for 2019. There are approximately 230 community based IWLA chapters in the nation. The Sportsman's Chapter was one of 39 chapters that received this award. We congratulate our neighboring Harford County Chapter and York Chapter #67 for receiving this award also.
