What vehicles are eligible on GrabFamily?

All GrabCar vehicle models are accepted on GrabFamily (Ages 1-7) and GrabFamily (Ages 4-7).

All GrabCar 6 vehicle models are accepted on GrabFamily 6 (Ages 1-7) and GrabFamily 6 (Ages 4-7).

What are the different types of child restraints?

Urban Kanga car seat is for toddler between 1 - 3 years old and less than 1 m tall.

mifold booster seat is for children between 4 - 7 years old and between 1 - 1.35 m tall.

What are the different GrabFamily services?

How much do I need to pay to join GrabFamily?

Depending on what GrabFamily services you are keen to join, the cost of each child restraint are as follows:

Can I join GrabFamily if I have my own child restraint?

For safety reasons, only Urban Kanga car seats and mifold booster seats issued through Grab are accepted on GrabFamily. Other brands and types of child restraints are not allowed.

When will the payment and activation be processed?

All payments and activations are processed within 3 working days upon completion of training and assessment, and collection of child restraints.

Can I join GrabFamily if I am on GrabTaxi?

GrabFamily is offered to GrabCar driver-partners only. GrabTaxi driver-partners will not be eligible.

Can I accept the job if passengers travelling with their kids book a non-GrabFamily ride?

Passengers who bring their own age-appropriate child restraints are allowed to travel with their kids on non-GrabFamily rides.

If passengers travel with their kids on non-GrabFamily rides and they do not have their own child restraints, trained driver-partners may provide at $5 surcharge per Urban Kanga car seat and / or $2 surcharge per mifold booster seat. Driver-partners who are not trained on GrabFamily may cancel the booking at no penalty.

What should I do if my Urban Kanga is defective or stolen?

You are strongly encouraged to check the condition of your car seat before leaving the training facility. However, if you suspect that it is defective, please stop using the product immediately and contact Taxi Baby at 9070 3351. During this time, you may toggle off GrabFamily (Ages 1-7) on your Grab Driver App to stop receiving jobs for this service type.
