The work package took place in the city of Guimarães (Portugal) from 10 to 15th February 2025. This is the last work package we carried out in one of our partner schools. Students from different countries participated in the following activities.
We were welcomed by the school principal.
Snapword competition- brainstorm about solutions for environmental problems. Helena Ferreira, a Math teacher and the vice director, presented the students this activity.
In this workshop, the students got to know each other through body expression games. These games were aimed at using body language to promote communication. The activity was guided by the Physical Education teacher with the collaboration of last grade students.
Workshop on environmental protection, in wich the students created a virtual poster using digital tools and decalogue on responsible behavior for a sustainable world.
Led by Chemistry teacher Silvia Correia, the students experimented how fire spreads in a forest and why it is important to preserve them to improve soil quality.
Podcast Creation about students' solutions proposal. They created different podcasts about forest fires, exploring their causes, consequences and prevention strategies.
Discovering green city spots and understanding the value of culture-
Guimarães ecological, cultural and historical places - interviewing the local population on the importance of taking care of our environment
In this workshop, students did two activities: to build an enery production kit STEAM and program a robot mBot2. To this end, international and interlevel groups were formed. The mechatronics course students, with the guidance of the teacher, were in charge of teaching how to do it.
