Project summary
The Erasmus+ "Speak Up to Start Up a Green World" project is a school partnership involving schools from different European countries.
Among its objectives are:
To favor the inclusion of students disadvantaged by different obstacles.
Raise awareness of the importance of caring for the environment and develop a sense of responsibility, sustainable and proactive behavior.
To acquire experience and skills in the use of ICT tools.
To develop an active learning mode through STEAM and TEAL methodologies.
Provide environmentally friendly methodologies.
We will address local environmental problems and seek solutions with students through methodologies such as STEAM and TEAL. For this we will carry out these activities:
Training activities for teachers (STEAM and TEAL).
Visits to natural areas, science museums and environmental centres in the participating countries.
Pedagogical activities through STEAM and TEAL methodologies, involving all students.
STEAM and TEAL workshops.
Debates, podcast and audio recording.
ICT activities and use of eTwinning (ESEP).
Visits to European institutions to present pupils' proposals.
Dissemination activities.

IES Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra, Alcázar de San Juan, Spain
The IES Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra is a public school located in Alcázar de San Juan (Ciudad Real). The school's educational offer includes Compulsory Secondary Education (12-16 years), a module of Vocational Training Specific Vocational Training and Baccalaureate in Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences in day and evening timetable.
The school has experience in organising pupil exchanges at European level. They have developed the Erasmus+ KA1 project "El Cervantes vuelve a Europa" and the Erasmus+ KA 122 "Conexión verde con Europa". In the latter project we already had as a priority the approach to work on the environment.
Istituto Comprensivo Borsi, Milano, Italy
The Istituto Comprensivo ‘Giosuè Borsi’ includes seven school units: an infant school (between 3 and 6 years old), four primary schools (between 6 and 11 years old) and two lower secondary schools (between 11 and 13 years old).
In the educational offer of Istituto Comprensivo Borsi, the development of key competences for citizenship has a prominent place and there are many projects that the school promotes every year.
Osnovna škola Zmijavci , Zmijavci, Croatia
Zmijavci Primary School is located in the village of Zmijavci, in the district of Imotski, a rural area of the county of Split-Dalmatia. Split-Dalmatia county is situated in the central part of the Adriatic coast. Zmijavci has around 2,500 inhabitants and the main economic activities are viticulture, agriculture and tourism. Pupils are between 6 and 14 years old.
The school has been participating in Erasmus+ projects since 2015 either in KA2 as partners or KA1 as coordinators. In 2023 we achieved Erasmus+ Accreditation in order to be able to continue vocational training abroad. A certain number of teachers are also involved in eTwinning projects, both as coordinators and partners.
Agrupamento de Escolas, Francisco de Holanda, Guimarães, Portugal
The Francisco de Holanda School Group (AEFH), legally stablish in 2013, is composed by a group of four school in Guimarães, which is a world heritage city.
They are very active in European projects and has experience in the topic fo this project.
