Human cleric of Pharasma from the Gray District and Marlowe's mother.
Human alchemist from Midland (Pillar Hills), where his parents run an alchemist shop.
Growing up in his family shop, Finn learned from a young age the science and application of alchemy. He was mostly raised by his father, due to his Mother disappearing after taking a business trip for her job at a korvosa bank. When he became of age he started attending the acadamae like all members of his family. Unlike his kin, Finn became immediately disillusioned with the place and dropped out after only 9 months. When he explained his decision to his father he was quite disappointed. He had believed his son could be the first of their family to graduate, but mostly he was upset feeling that Finn simply didn’t try at all. Despite a not so heated argument Finn decides that he will journey away from Korvosa. About two years later he received a letter from his father wishing him well, in the letter it becomes pretty clear that the family shop (and his father) have fallen on hard times and Finn decides to return to Korvosa. When he returns he finds Phineous' Fine Formulae in absolute disarray. The store was looted, ravaged and wrecked. With his Father nowhere to be found he quickly rushed to the the hidden study/lab, while he did not find his father what he did find put a smile on his face, The family cat Mendeleev was lounging in the room oblivious to the chaos outside. When he collected himself Finn went to talk with the other shopkeepers in the district. The shopkeepers were quite afraid and would give him no information telling him to leave the city. That is when he stumbled upon an old friend Averin Taverin who clued him in on what happened while he was gone. While she didn’t have all the specifics it was Lamms goons who wrecked the place. Finn knew Lamm, he charged everyone on the block “Protection” money and Phineous' Fine Formulae was no different. Determined to find out the fate of his father as well as rebuild his family homestead he started wracking his Brain with plans.
Samana Sati Yatha never met her mother, but the ever-present manifestations of the odd nature of her birth – the shock of purple hair, the occasional glow of her body while asleep, and her innate sorcerous powers – bring her to Samana’s mind each day. Raised by her father, Tipitaka, a wizard scholar at Theumanexus College, Sam (only her father was ever allowed to call her Sammy) seeks to sate her curiosity about herself, her parent’s history, and the mysteries of magic. Sam is beloved in her neighborhood, Pillar Hill, where her infectious good humor and reputation for good-natured pranks make her popular, especially at gnome parties. Her friends and family are attracted to Sam like moths to a flame, but Sam never takes them for granted or takes advantage. Sam was also born with a natural affinity for animals, especially horses, who fill her with wonder, and after befriending a Varisian stabler named Velkano in Cliffside, she learned much about how to ride and care for the beautiful beasts.
After her father was murdered by Gaedram Lam, the only family she has left in Korvosa is her Father’s sister’s family, Aunt Mipiwata, Uncle Sindavin (a wizard at the Acadamae), and their daughters, Milava (close in age and temperament) and her younger sister, Silava. Sam is also well-known for her carving skills, especially in bone, and has handed out beautifully carved bone pipes to her closest friends and family. Whenever Sam is bored or nervous, out comes the carving tools and a hunk of bone, and soon after, a piece of art. A side effect of this skill is her smoking habit, but Sam only smokes mostly non-addictive happy weed. Since her father’s death, though, she has been hitting the pipe more frequently when not in the midst of an adventure, and she worries that it could tip into dangerous territory.
Sequa (trans: Little Feather) appears to be a gangly, feminine-faced boy around the age of 13. She wears torn and dirty masculine street clothes, keeps her hair cut short and her movements brisk and efficient.. She has a white stripe of clay and ash across the bridge of her nose and three vertical tribal scars traveling down from her lower lip to the base of her chin.
Sequa is foul-mouthed and uncouth, but her exuberance, wonder and quick smile are contagious. She plays at being tough, but is quite sensitive to the world and people around her.
Windsor's Appearance (as described by fans of Windsor (edited by Windsor)):
“A swirl of crimson silks! A waist length flock of raven locks! Windsor the sanguine stole sashayed into the square, he held no fear for the devils dwelling here!”
- Villager saved from Imps
“He never fails to live up to my highest expectations, I look to him in the most dire of situations - as a source of inspiration and a beacon of bravery. A great hero, a greater friend.”
- Phineous P Kerosin
“He’s the most handsome hero I’ve ever laid eyes on! His silky sable hair perfectly frames his beautiful face, and his brilliant golden spectacles emphasize his kind and caring eyes. I long to drape myself about him like his carmine cloak.”
- Female Admirer #15
Pale haired, pale skinned, and bright eyed, the occasional color on Wren’s nose and cheeks make her look like she’s just come in from the cold. Her features are not Chelaxian - perhaps some combination of Taldoran and Varisian?
She claims to have spent many years at sea, and has hinted at piracy, but her youthful features show absolutely no sign of of being weathered by sea or sun. She typically dresses in a combination of utilitarian explorer’s or seafarer’s garb and pieces of heavier armor, amidst a collection of trinkets, charms, and symbols. Her current set of gear is battle-worn and well used, a complete mismatch for her youthful appearance.
