Hello!
My name is Sol Fernández and I am twenty-one years old. I started acquiring the English language in my last year of middle school. This originated from the motivation my family and English teacher provided me, telling me that such language would open doors for me and it would help me improve my communication skills. However, this was all by myself, only because I was too lazy to read subtitles in YouTube videos, and wanted to know the meaning of the music I listened to. It was not easy to learn all the grammar stuff the language had, and at some point, my mind fogged. Nevertheless, my willingness to keep learning was stronger and here I am.
I would like to describe myself as a creative person when my surroundings are inspiring to me. It allows me to apply so many skills in new and different ways that might help me improve as a student and human being. Things such as going out, enjoying time by myself, and consuming media makes me boost my creativity and feel better overall whenever I feel burnt out.

Conclusion
Simultaneous Interpretation was a familiar subject this quarter. Although, last time we had to interpret for the first time consecutively, it was not as easy as it seemed. It takes more than a few months to get a hold of it.
A lot of practice was needed to nail all the assignments. Speed, diction, and preciseness were a few of the elements that were involved in most of the interpretations. This subject was a great way to practice my skills as an interpreter.

Conclusion
Before this class, I had no knowledge of CAT or MT tools. Thanks to all the information the professor provided and all the practice with many of the assignments completed by the end of the quarter, although I am not a professional now, I do have a basic knowledge of what it is like to use or apply computer-assisted tools on translation.
Even though these tools are definitely a time saver, personally, I would not use them often because I consider translation to be an art, and it should not be done by artificial intelligence, unless it is used to help or fix certain issues in the work. However, I did find interesting this class and most of the projects were a new way to acquire the important information we needed as beginner translators.

Conclusion
At the beginning of the quarter, I was not confident enough about my skills as an interpreter. However, after the many projects about different topics I had to make and submit to the class, I found myself learning more new things about myself as an interpreter and student. This skill is not something one learns in one day. Mostly, it takes time and mind strength to deal with how one manages the information receiving and delivering.
For me, interpreting was something challenging. Interpreting technical terms I did not have experience with was something I had to deal with to prove something to myself. Even though, sometimes the outcome would not be perfect I consider the way I try to do my best and try to practice as much as possible leaves me satisfied.
