EXPERIENCIA: Este vídeo me ayudó mucho. Antes de tomar esta clase, tenía conocimiento en note-taking porque la interpretación era bastante interesante para mí. Por lo tanto, veía como las personas tomaban notas mientras interpretaban, y eso me permitió tener una idea de cómo y por qué lo hacían. Sin embargo, no conocía la profundidad de esta técnica. Anteriormente, conocía sobre la estenografía; la cual comparte ciertas cosas con el note-taking. Aunque soy principiante interpretando, tengo conocimiento en algunas técnicas que se utilizan en dicho arte. Para mí, el note-taking facilita las cosas y permite gestionar la información que recibimos en el momento sin preocuparnos de olvidar alguna palabra que juegue un papel importante para la interpretación. En este vídeo encontré información practica y fácil de entender. Es cierto, en lugar de escribir una frase, oración o palabra completa es más fácil hacer un símbolo que represente o reemplace un término. No solo ahorramos tiempo, sino que esto ayuda a nuestro cerebro a recolectar más datos. Esto permite que nuestro cerebro simplifique el proceso de interpretar. Algunas de las cosas que han quedado plasmado en mi memoria es "Work smarter, not harder" después de ver el vídeo. Note-talking es un sistema que no solo acelera el proceso de interpretación, también nos ayuda a ser más agiles y tener en cuenta el manejo consecutivo de información y datos que nuestro cerebro almacena. Además, es importante recordar que para crear un sistema personal de note-taking debemos considerar qué es lo mejor para nosotros, como intérpretes. La comodidad y familiaridad que apliquemos en los símbolos es de suma importancia. Así que, para resumir, es necesario conocer qué nos simplifica entregar un mensaje, y para ello también debemos conocernos a nosotros mismos. Interpretar un mensaje en la forma correcta debe ser lo más importante.

EXPERIENCE: This video helped me a lot. Before joining this course I had knowledge of note-taking because interpreting was interesting to me. Therefore, I saw how people would take notes while they interpret and that would give me a sense of what and why they did it. However, I did not know the depth of this technique. Before this, I knew about stenography. Even though I am a beginner in the interpretation field, I have knowledge about some techniques that are used or applied in this art. For me, note-taking makes things easier and it allows us to manage the information we receive in the moment without worrying about forgetting some words that play an important role in the interpretation. Indeed, instead of writing a full phrase, sentence, or word, it is easier to make a symbol that represents or replaces a term. Not only do we save time, but this also helps our brain to gather more data. This allows the brain to simplify the interpretation process. After watching the video, some of the things that stayed in my memory were "Work smarter, not harder". Note-taking is a system that helps us speed up and keep in mind the consecutive management of information and data that our brain stores. Additionally, it is important to remember that in order to create a personal system of note-taking we need to take into consideration what is best for us as interpreters. The comfort and familiarity we apply in the symbols are highly important. So, to summarize, it is necessary to know what makes it easier to deliver a message and know ourselves in a proper way. Interpreting a message in the right way is the most important thing.
