Well, hello there and welcome. We’re glad that you came to visit us. This is the home page for the Southern California Myasthenia Gravis (MG) Support Group. We are a community of people with MG and caregivers and even some doctors and healthcare professionals who are all dedicated to each other and dedicated to ensuring that no one must take the journey with MG alone. Our goal is to help people with MG to not just cope but to thrive. Think of this group as a safe place to get practical tips and hear from experts. If you have MG, we understand what you’re going through, we totally “get” you. And there is never any judgement.
The group was started 7 years ago by Connie DiPasqua. I first joined the group in 2024 and it has been a Godsend to me. My name is Scott Hazel and I’m the group leader these days. We have regular virtual meetings by way of Zoom. We make it easy to join one of our meetings. We can help you find resources to assist you on your journey with MG.
To learn more or if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me. I’m up for a chat if you’d like.
We hope to see you at a meeting soon.

MG Community,
After more than 10 years of dedicated service as the Southern California Myasthenia Gravis Support Group Leader, I have made the heartfelt decision to retire from this role and pass the baton forward.
Serving the MG community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Over the years, I have had the privilege of meeting incredible patients, caregivers, advocates, supporters, and medical professionals whose strength, compassion, and resilience continue to inspire me every day. Together, we have built meaningful connections, expanded awareness, supported one another through challenges, and created a strong and caring community throughout California.
While this chapter of my life is coming to a close, my love and support for the MG community will always remain close to my heart. I am deeply grateful for the friendships, memories, and experiences shared throughout this journey.
It is with great confidence and excitement that I transition leadership to Scott Hazel, who will carry this role forward with fresh vision, dedication, and commitment to the MG community. I know the California Support Group will continue to grow and thrive under Scott’s leadership.
Thank you to everyone who has walked beside me during these past 10+ years. Your support, encouragement, and partnership have meant more than these words can express.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Connie DiPasqua
