Welcome to the San Diego Myasthenia Gravis Support Group!
Welcome to our webpage. Our goal is to provide an upbeat, inclusive space to share experiences, information and resources to help you and your caregivers.
This support group started in late 2024 when I found a need to connect locally with other “MGers.” When I was diagnosed in 2019, I was handed a brochure to register with the national registry and a couple of pages about Myasthenia Gravis. I searched for resources and was frustrated by the lack of information. I felt alone. Once I discovered the support groups, I wanted other patients to have a place to share, learn and feel supported in our MG community.
We meet via zoom the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6 pm pacific. ALL are welcome and encouraged to join. In 2025, we will have a few in-person gatherings (dates to be determined). We work with other MG support group leaders, patients, caretakers and medical professionals to provide a platform to support and educate patients and caregivers.
Please feel free to email us with your questions and comments, and suggestions regarding this site (including any pertinent web links), at: MGSanDiegoGroup@gmail.com.

MGFA presents the 2025 MG Walk Southern California. Join us for a community gathering to celebrate all individuals impacted by myasthenia gravis. But this isn't your average walk. Walk, sit, or dance!
MG may be a rare disease but know that you are not alone! Our community block party will have the best of the MG Walk in a whole new way, with music, games, snacks and time to connect with new friends and old.
You can earn cool gear and prizes for your fundraising efforts. Need tips, tricks or inspiration? Check out the MG Walk Fundraiser Toolkit!
Hosted by the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, the MG Walk raises critical funds for myasthenia gravis research, as well as education and support resources for those affected by MG.
Whether you choose to walk with us, support a team, or make a gift, your contribution brings us one step closer to a world without MG.
About the MG Walk Southern California
The walk path is fully accessible. Walk as much or as little as you want, or cheer on other participants and teams. More details about the walk path, including where to park and check-in, will be shared closer to event day!
