Mission

SNPA’s mission is to represent and consolidate the community of postdoctoral researchers in Sweden in their pursuit of a decent professional life.

To improve the working and living conditions of postdoctoral researchers in Sweden, the SNPA will:

1. Draft proposals, recommendations, and amendments to policies that impact postdoctoral researchers, including a defined status for postdocs and salary. These proposals are made irrespective of university or research background.

2. Build and maintain networks of postdocs within Sweden to ensure the transfer of knowledge and opportunities, encourage communication, exchange of ideas, cooperation and contact among postdocs in Sweden.

3. Conduct scientific and community-building events, including conferences, workshops, seminars and training.

4. Represent and coordinate with organizations, groups and individuals from Sweden and abroad that are occupied with complementary activities.
