This educator’s guide was developed within the Erasmus+ project “Small Steps Lead to Big Changes” to support professionals working in early childhood, preschool and primary education. It offers a research‑informed, practice‑oriented framework for integrating sustainable development, healthy lifestyles and mental well‑being into everyday educational practice. The guide combines theoretical background with concrete methods, activity ideas, project proposals, tools for cooperation with families and examples of evaluation instruments.
Designed as a practical companion for teachers and early childhood educators, it helps in planning, implementing and assessing activities that promote children’s physical health, emotional balance, social inclusion and environmental responsibility. By using this guide, educators are encouraged to reflect on their practice, create stimulating learning environments and strengthen partnerships with parents and the wider community. Publishing the guide in English makes it accessible to a broad international audience and invites schools and educators across Europe to adopt and adapt these ideas, turning small daily steps into lasting positive change for children.
