As part of the Erasmus+ project “Small Steps Lead to Big Changes”, the partner schools have created three practical brochures for parents on outdoor games, mental health, and sustainable lifestyle tips. These resources, now available on our website, are designed to support families and educators in promoting healthier, more balanced and environmentally responsible ways of living and learning.
The brochures offer concrete ideas for simple outdoor activities that help children move, explore nature and develop social skills away from screens. They also provide accessible guidance on supporting children’s and adults’ mental health, including everyday strategies to reduce stress, build resilience and strengthen family relationships. The sustainable lifestyle brochure includes easy tips that parents and teachers can introduce at home and at school, encouraging children to make small daily choices that protect the environment.
For teachers and early childhood educators, these materials are valuable tools to connect school activities with family life. They can be used in parent meetings, classroom projects or homework suggestions, helping to build a consistent message between home and school about well-being and sustainability. Because they were developed in an international Erasmus+ partnership, the brochures bring together diverse perspectives, good practices and ideas that have been tested in different educational contexts.
This Erasmus+ work is freely available to all educators and teachers who wish to enrich their practice, involve families more actively and promote a healthier and more sustainable future for children. By sharing these brochures openly, the project extends its impact beyond the partner schools and invites the wider educational community to take small steps that can lead to big changes.
