On March 22nd, 2025, University of Toronto Speech-Language Pathology alumni joined the current Year 2 students to answer their questions surrounding life after graduation.
This hybrid yearly event begins with a large group Q&A session; this year, students asked questions such as “How did you focus your interest to find your niche in Speech-Language Pathology?” and “What are some of the challenges you experienced in your first job?”.
Students then had the chance to break into small groups and speak individually with SLPs working in various settings, such as acute care, rehabilitation, as well as preschool speech and language programs.
Then, lunch! Students and alumni were able to mingle while eating shawarma from Osmow’s.
We’d like to thank all the alumni who took the time out of their busy schedule to chat with the class of 2025 virtually and in-person.
Special thanks to: Vidya David, Suzanna Lee, Julia Petrosov, and Chiara Salvatore for organizing this event. We’d also like to thank the Year 1’s who volunteered their time to help the event run smoothly, and all the student attendees who came prepared with thoughtful questions.
