The following is an in-depth guide for the flower cup of Mario Kart 64.
This is a longer track. You're going to be making a lot of soft turns. There aren't any big shortcuts here as the course has big walls keeping you on the track. On the road you'll see many cars. If you hit these cars you'll spin out and you'll need to get back up to speed again. All of the item boxes are off of the beaten path in a little off spot that you'll have to get.
At the beggining of the track, there's a lot of sharp turns. You can cut these corners with a mushroom if you have one, but don't cut it too tight or Lakitu will pick you up. There are also snowmen on the edges of the road that will make you spin out. There's a bunch of snowmen all together after this, so stay to the left to take the best line. Right before all the snowmen, there's a big jump that you have to take a little slower so you won't hop over the item boxes. Other than that there isn't any more shortcuts.
There aren't many shortcuts on this track because there are walls all around it. If you're going off a jump, like the jumps in sequence at the end of the track, try not to get too close to the wall or you'll spin out if you touch it. There's a big turn with a pit in the middle at the end of the track, a pit that you'll fall in if you take the wall too sharp. On this big turn, there are rocks that will fall and shrink you. Try and avoid these if possible. If you're playing on 150cc, you'll spin out if you turn back and forth too quickly. This track has a lot of back and forth turning, so be careful.
This track doesn't have too many shortcuts because the walls are placed just right so the shortcuts are rare. If you're gonna take a shortcut, there's a windy part you can cut through just before the big pipe tunnel that you go through. Other wise, avoid the plants on the side of the road and focus on staying on the track.
