The following is an in-depth guide for the Third "Your Sanctuary" location of EarthBound.
On your way back through the Lilliput Steps, attack enemies from behind to help level up Paula some more. Go back through Happy-Happy Village and through Peaceful Rest Valley to Twoson. On your way back, you'll notice that the old broken bridge from earlier is fixed now, making going back much easier. If Paula dies you can revive her at a hospital. First, go back to the Polestar preschool and talk to Paula's parents. Her dad will give approval of her to go with Ness, and her mom will give you a Hand-Aid. This fully revives your HP. Go to Everdred in Burglin Park and he will give you a Wad of Cash worth 10,000. Don't get excited thinking you can buy a bunch of stuff, because it's completely useless. Go to the theater for the Runaway Five show. You'll get a backstage pass. Present it to the main entrance to get in. Go through the main door and head to the left, present your pass to the guard to let you through. If you talk to the band members, they'll talk about how they're in big debt. After watching their show, go to the manager's office to the left of the main entrance. Present it to him, he'll make you go to the other side of the desk. After you give it to him to pay off the Runaway Five's debt, he'll let them free. The Runaway Five will now offer you a ride to Threed. Make sure you are ready, and then hop on their bus to ride to Threed.
♪Threed, Zombie Central♪

These guys are pretty tough, so make sure your healing often. Buy some better options at the drugstore and heal at the hotel. In the hospital you can check the drawers for an Insignificant item which you can trade with somebody in the Twoson hospital for a Magic Truffle. You can also try training at the graveyard. Once your ready, go to the far northwestern part of town and investigate the zombies there. Go back into town and follow a lady walking into the hotel. Walk into the room that she's in and she'll ambush you with a bunch of zombies. When you wake up, Paula will call Jeff for help.

You are now controlling Jeff. Try leaving the room, where Tony will join you for a moment. Go outside and go to the next door and collect all of the cookies. You may need to drop certain things to make room for all of the cookies. Go down a floor and into the left room. A guy will give you a key to the lockers. You can try to use the key in the locker room but it won't work because the key is bent. Go back to him and talk to him again. He'll give you a bad key machine which can unlock any door. Try opening all of the locker doors, and you'll get a Holmes' hat, a Pop-Gun, and a Broken Air Gun. Equip the Pop-Gun. You can now leave the building and go through winters.

These guys might chip away at your HP, but they should go down fairly quickly and give a ton of experience points. While your going through Winters, there's a spot with a tent. This is a perfect spot to train up Jeff, as the tent can heal you back up. Ideally, Jeff will be around level 15 before leaving the area, with two small dungeons with little amount of enemies in the mix as well. So it will be a good idea to level him up a bit now. When you walk down, you'll find a bunch of watchers who are watching for a sea monster called Tessie. In one tent you can save your game, and in another you can heal yourself up. Have some of the stew in the one tent and then walk out to where the dirt part is and the bubble monkey will take you on top of the Tessie monster who will bring you to another part of land. You'll come to a part with two paths, one with an iron pencil and one with a cave. Go into the cave.
