The following is an in-depth guide for the Second "Your Sanctuary" location of EarthBound.
Before you head all the way back to Onett, it might be a good idea to train against these enemies on the way back. They run away front you now, so you can attack them from behind to get an extra move on them. This is a great way to gain some extra money and levels before moving on. When you leave Giant Step, a police officer will stop you. He'll say that he needs you to come to the police station. Go heal at Frank and get some Hamburgers before you head to the police station. Captain Strong will take you to the back room and four cops will attack you and then Captain Strong.

You basically just need to keep your HP high and keep using PSI Rockin to fight him and bash until he goes down. Make sure your health is up. Captain Strong will order the cops to let you through the barricade. Head south to the path that leads to Twoson. Across this path, you'll find Ramblin' Evil Mushrooms.
These can "mushroomize" you, which will make you feel strange in battle and cause you to move weird in the over world. Talk to the blue haired men in the hospitals to cure you of your mushroomization. On the way to Twoson, you'll find a small shed with Exit Mice inside. Grab one, these can take you out of a cave immediately and take you outside. Head all the way south to enter Twoson.

These enemies should be pretty easy, for you. Just keep bashing them. When you enter town, go to the Bike Shop and get a bike. You'll go a bit faster when using it, but if you don't want it and would rather have the inventory space, you can return it to the owner any time. Go to the hospital and talk to a man at a table over and over again and he'll give you 50 dollars. Sleep at the hotel, and Paula will talk to you in your dreams. If you go to the pizza place you can get their number. This way you can call for pizza wherever you are. If you try and take a bus ride to Threed, the ghosts will chase the bus away. You may want to grind against the enemies if you didn't grind levels at Giant Step. You can also check out the Runaway Five at the theater. Paula's parents are at the Polestar school, and they'll tell you that Paula's gone missing. Go to Burglin Park and get a For Sale Sign and a Copper Bracelet. If you want, you can grind money by buying eggs and then selling the chickens that hatch. You can also buy some more of the food around. At the left side of the park a man will jump down from the roof of a shed. You now have to fight Everdred.

This is a skippable fight, so if you don't want to fight him right now or aren't ready, or just don't want to. He is fairly easy though, just spamming bash and PSI Rockin if you really need to. Once your done, go to the lower part of town where there are two inventors, Orange Kid and Apple Kid. Sponsor Apple Kid. Give him some food, he'll except all food items, including cheap condiments you can buy in the park. Head east outside of Twoson towards Peaceful Rest Valley. These enemies will be tough, but keep bashing and remember to heal and you'll be alright. If I were you I'd avoid the Territorial Oak as he explodes at the end of the battle. Head north in the Valley as soon as you can and go all the way up. Interact with the strange metal pencil on the top and you see that you can't go any further. Go back to Twoson. Apple Kid will give you a call. Go to his house, Orange Kid will direct you to Burglin Park to find Apple Kid. He'll be in the southwest corner and he'll give you the Pencil Eraser. Just a heads up, you might get a cold here so use PSI Healing as soon as you can. If you need to, you can walk so that the Territorial Oak is offscreen and then walk back to despawn the trees. Go back to the pencil statue and use your pencil eraser on it to make it disappear. Go up and then cross the bridge. Use the map to traverse the Valley as there are many dead ends and fake forks in the road. On your way through, make sure you check the presents for the Travel Charm and Luck Capsule. Ignore the hills and grab the Croissant and Bomb. Cross the bridge after the broken one. Head north and grab the Hard Hat. Equip it and go east. Grab a Cup of Life Noodles while your going south. When you reach a cave, enter it and you'll soon be at Happy Happy Villiage.

They shouldn't be that tough and are great to grind levels on since they keep calling for help. This town is completely painted blue with weird-acting residents. The person at the entrance will try and sell you a postcard. If you don't buy it she'll follow you around. Go to the store and buy a Sandlot bat. Also get some healing and food items for an upcoming fight. There are some free healing spots here, so heal up now. Go to the northern cave in town which will take you to a spot in Peaceful Rest Valley. There's a house here, go inside to find Paula locked up! She'll give you the Franklin Badge, which deflects lightning if its in your inventory. Keep it in your inventory for now. Go back to the village and go to the bigger house.

These enemies might be a little tough to get Paula to stay alive, but her PSI Fire and PSI Freeze abilities can actually work against the enemies, and a few are vulnerable to PSI Flash and PSI Paralysis, so it shouldn't be too bad. you can go off the path a little bit to get the Great Charm and Croissant in presents. You can follow the main path to get a Magic Butterfly. Remember to PSI Lifeup your team before you collect it. At the end there's a split path that both leads to the end, so just grab the PSI Caramel and move on. You'll eventually find the Sanctuary Location and fight Mondo Mole.

This boss can be fairly easy if you just use Flash or Paralysis and then bash until he's dead. If you don't want to do this, it's going to be a very hard time keeping Paula alive for the EXP. You may want to use heavy use of attacking items and PSI Shield and PSI Lifeup to keep Paula alive while getting big damage to Mondo Mole. Otherwise, he's fairly easy. Once he's outside, go outside the door and record the second "Your Sanctuary" melody on your sound stone.
