Alum Rock Counseling Center

Youth Needs During Covid-19

Alum Rock Counseling Center (ARCC) provides services to under represented families and youth in the East San Jose Area. They provide services such as parent coaching, youth mentoring, life skills development, truancy reduction, academic assistance, child abuse/neglect prevention, individual counseling and drug and alcohol prevention. Many of ARCC's clients meet face to face through the main office, or school campuses. However, due to COVID-19 and the recent Shelter-in-Place, students and parents are not able to continue these services during this difficult time. Youth and parents are still in need of academic and emotional support during this time to help cope and navigate the sudden change of their daily lives.
