Some features depend on your device model, operating system version, and installed Apple language or AI models.
Recording, playback, and file management may be available on a wider range of devices.
Advanced features such as on-device speech transcription and AI-generated meeting notes require compatible Apple hardware.
For the current version, these features are intended for Apple Intelligence-capable devices, such as:
iPhone 15 Pro or later supported models
iPad with A17 Pro or later
iPad with M1 or later
Your device must also be running a supported version of iOS or iPadOS.
If your device does not support a feature, OmniaNote will display the feature as unavailable and explain the device requirement.
Depending on Apple system support and your device, transcription may be available for:
Traditional Chinese
Traditional Chinese (Hong Kong)
Simplified Chinese
Cantonese
English
Japanese
Korean
Spanish
Portuguese
French
Italian
German
Availability may vary depending on the Apple speech models supported by your device.
Some languages require an Apple speech model to be downloaded before transcription can begin.
The first time you use a language, your device may need to download several hundred MB of language data.
If a model is downloading:
Keep sufficient free storage available.
A network connection may be required for the initial download.
Download time depends on your connection speed.
Once installed, supported transcription can operate without uploading your recording to our servers.
If the download appears to be taking a long time, please try again later or check your network connection and available device storage.
OmniaNote requires microphone access when you use the recording feature.
To check microphone permission:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone → OmniaNote
The microphone is accessed only when required for recording features.
Recordings, transcripts, and generated meeting notes are stored by the App on your device unless you explicitly use an export, sharing, synchronization, or other feature that transfers the selected content elsewhere.
Deleting a recording from the App also removes the corresponding App-managed record according to the deletion options provided by the App.
The current on-device transcription mode uses Apple's speech processing technologies on supported devices.
Audio processed by the on-device transcription feature does not need to be uploaded to our servers.
AI meeting-note generation and supported translation features are also designed to use Apple system technologies on compatible devices whenever the applicable on-device feature is being used.
Transcription may be unavailable because:
Your device does not support the required Apple speech technology.
The required language model has not yet been downloaded.
The device does not have sufficient storage.
A system language model is temporarily unavailable.
Your version of iOS or iPadOS is not supported.
If the issue is temporary, use the retry option provided by the App.
If the device hardware itself is unsupported, upgrading the operating system will not necessarily enable the feature.
Yes. Basic recording is designed to work offline.
On supported devices, transcription can also work offline after the required speech model has been installed.
Some optional sharing, synchronization, model download, or external-service features may require an internet connection.
Laws concerning the recording of conversations differ between countries and regions.
You are responsible for obtaining any consent required by applicable law before recording another person.
OmniaNote does not determine whether a particular recording is legally permitted.
OmniaNote may support common audio and video formats such as:
M4A
MP3
WAV
AAC
MP4
MOV
Actual compatibility may depend on the media codec and your version of iOS or iPadOS.
If OmniaNote offers paid features, purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
We do not receive or store your credit card or other payment information.
For purchase history, billing issues, refunds, or payment method problems, please use Apple's App Store support services.
If you experience a problem:
Make sure OmniaNote is updated to the latest version.
Make sure iOS or iPadOS is updated.
Confirm that microphone permission is enabled.
Check that sufficient device storage is available.
Confirm that the required speech model has completed downloading.
Restart the App and try again.
If the problem continues, please contact us.
