Forged using a custom shaping tool to mimic the angle of the bookshelf in order to get the bend in the body correct.

A 6 ft. tall stand with three hooks for coats and three hooks for hats, forged and welded as a final project in Architectural Ironworking.
The CAD rendering was most useful in calculating the required length of metal for the scrolls at the base of the stand. The model was able to account for the irregular shape and provide the required length of starting material for forging each scroll.

Carved out of foam, this Ouroboros shaped swing set is a desk piece. The foam was packed in sand, then molten aluminum was poured into the mold. After that the metal had to have excess parts trimmed away and parts of it sanded smooth. Other parts were left rough to mimic the texture of scales. Finally the swing was attached with some chain and it was complete. Images of the casting process are shown below.

The jellyfish is compose of one bell, four structural tentacles, four hanging tentacles, and three decorative tentacles. The bell was formed from a large circle of sheet metal folded and forged into the desired shape. The tentacles were forged individually and welded to the inside of the bell.
