The Code

The leader may not change the code without approval from Starclan.

The leader's word is secondary to Starclan, and in a time when Starclan cannot be consulted, the Leader's judgement is to be trusted fully. Healers have an equal sway in anything spiritual.

A leader's 9 lives are gifted to them to serve their clan. A leader is to live, fight, and die for their clanmates with no consideration for personal loss. Failure to follow this rule may result in revoking of lives. 

Defend your Clan, even with your life. *You may have friendships with rogues but your loyalty must remain to your clan soley. 

Do not wander beyond clan territory without reason and permission to do so. 

The water is vengeful and no cat may hunt alone at any water source.

Elders and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. 

Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.

Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their warrior name. Following this, they will go to Star-reach to speak with Starclan.

A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.

The deputy will become Clan leader when the leader dies or retires.

After the death or retirement of the deputy, the new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.

Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. Wanderers shall maintain the borders and communication with rogues, reporting back to the Leader and Deputy with news.

An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles unless their opponent is outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.

Only clan-born cats can ever truly be clan cats. Loyalty and devotion makes a Stormclan cat, not blood. Every cat is to be defined by themselves, not their kin or origin.
