Failure to follow these rules will lead to strikes and eventual bans. Depending on what rule you break and how extreme it is, you may receive either a warning, a strike, or a temporary/permanent ban. Generally speaking, you will get a warning for breaking less enforced rules (things we're more lenient on) or being close to breaking the rules in your behavior. Warnings do not stack. A strike will be placed on you if you've broken a more severe rule. One strike has no immediate consequences, just a warning. A second strike results in being muted in the server for 24 hours. A third results in a ban. You may attempt to appeal.
Server-specific rules will be found in the Discord Rules channel and in the respective channels' descriptions.
Cursing and swearing are allowed. Slurs, even if they are yours to reclaim, are not allowed. Aiming profanity at another member with intent to be rude is not allowed. Even if you're joking around, if another member asks you to stop, you will do so. Boundaries are important.
Be kind, please! Comment on others' art before posting your own, don't talk over others or spam, and use common courtesy.
You must be 13+ to join.
This server will handle some fairly mature topics, however, and no matter your age, please make sure you're prepared to handle these themes. General TWs for the server and NPC histories will be covered below.
We will host activity checks regularly. Failure to complete 3 consecutive activity checks will result in being kicked from the server unless you're given a valid extension for whatever reason. (We'll be very forgiving with these! Just communicate!) [ On Hold ]
Please do not pester staff about getting to questions/suggestions/ticket submissions.
If we haven't addressed the former topics after 3 days, you may bump them in their respective channel with a reply (if they've been posted over) or ping @staff
Please use tone tags a lot of us are not allistic 🙏(not a requirement but it's strongly encouraged! But you won't get banned for not using tone tags lol)
Please warn staff properly before leaving the server or going on hiatus, especially if you have important characters (mentors, active parents, high-ranks, etc)
If you have concerns about another member's behavior, do NOT bring it forward publicly. Instead we'd prefer you use the ticket system.
Don't minimod, please. Once again, if you have a concern, submit it in a ticket. Chances are staff will catch it anyhow without your help.
We don't tolerate tracing or art/design theft of any kind.
Players are not their characters! Do not go after players because you don't like their characters/characters' actions.
Do not godmod/power play! This includes... (NPCs apply here as well)
Attacking/injuring another character.
Writing for another character (without owner's permission. Writing dialogue for a character in a literature submission with consent from their owner is okay!)
You MUST reach out to staff via ticket to injure/kill your character. This also includes breaking any in-character rules such as the Code, which would be punished in character. Things like physical fights are included in this, even if both parties agree.
If you would like something added to one of these lists, please reach out! We cannot promise it will be added, but we'll consider any suggestion. No jokes, please.
When it comes to these topics, you MUST provide a specific trigger warning if it's under the "needs spoiler" category. Do NOT just spoiler the word without warning. A good example would be HERE. The only exception to this rule is if it's only mentioned once in the post, at which point you do not have to provide a warning but should still spoil it. At no other time should you spoil text without providing a proper trigger warning either at the start of the spoiled text or at the beginning of whatever post.
Suicide/self-harm
Physical abuse
Anything sexual in nature
Eating disorders
Realistic gore (images)
Actual spoilers to relevant media (ex: current media. Older stuff like the first few arcs of Warriors? Probably don't need to be spoiled. But if someone asks you to, please just do so.)
Non-physical abuse
Discussions/images of needles (there's one on the NPC code, my apologies. I am not allowed to change it as per the creator's TOS) or anything that could trigger trypophobia or arachnaphobia.
Gore, blood, violence, and character death (mentions of dead prey animals do not count if not bloody or gory). Images and text.
Transphobia/Homophobia
Childbirth/labor
Dysphoria/derealization/dissociation/panic attacks/mental breakdowns
Along with all of these needing proper research prior to portrayal, these need a TW to prevent accidentally upsetting anyone who experiences these things
Themes featured either in the group's plot or NPCs' bios may include:
Religious trauma & similar themes
Death
General trauma
Verbal or emotional abuse and manipulation
Miscarriage/child loss
Grief/depression
