Rules & Regulations:
-PF rounds consist of either team receiving a W (win) or L (loss) with each speaker in the round receiving speaker points (25-30)
-Teams debate a pre-determined resolution that addresses a current event or public policy issue. The resolution is typically updated each season or every two months.
-Arguments should be supported by credible evidence, including statistics, expert opinions, and real-world examples. Proper citations should be used.
-Debates follow a structured format including constructive speeches, crossfires, rebuttals, and summary speeches.
-Effective use of voice, articulation, volume, and logical reasoning is crucial. Clear and persuasive communication of arguments and responses to counterarguments is essential.
