Rules & Regulations:
-Policy rounds consist of either team receiving a W (win) or L (loss) with each speaker in the round receiving speaker points (25-30)
-Teams debate a pre-determined policy resolution, which involves a proposed change to current policy or practice.
-Debates are structured with specific speaking times and formats, including constructive speeches, rebuttals, and cross-examinations.
-Arguments should be supported by credible evidence, including statistics, expert opinions, and case studies. Proper citations should be used.
-Effective use of voice, articulation, volume, and logical reasoning is crucial. Persuasive and clear communication of arguments and responses to counterarguments is essential.
