euphoria is about chasing
Chasing after your dreams first feels like defying gravity.
When you’re unsure and scared of chasing, when there is ambivalence in your chest holding you down, it truly does feel unreachable. It’s too far, too difficult, too scary, too dangerous: but how long can you let gravity hold your heart down? You need to breathe; you need to run away.
But not quite yet. Now you’re floating, because you’re still ambivalent, but you know exactly what you want. It’s okay. Close your eyes and just let go. Take a deep breath. You feel your stomach drop, because you’ve let gravity do its job, except are you falling or flying? It feels euphoric, really, and your eyes are still closed and you don’t know where you are or where you’ll land but you’re letting it happen.
And it’s not nearly as terrifying, because you know where you want to land.
