History of Technology Presentation (You should have notes from slides 6-24 in your physical Engineering Notebook).
3.1 Describe the history and development of engineering.
Add the History of Technology Visual Review and Web Quest Activity under this standard
3.2 Describe the social, economic, and environmental impacts of a technological process, product, or system.
3.3 Explain the influence of technology on history and the shaping of contemporary issues.
Your history of technology project will go under this standard.
Date started:
Define the Problem:
Plan of Work Chart (How will you divide your time and responsibilities?) - Click here, and recreate this chart in your notebook. You will fill it in,
Brainstorm - (Rich Picture of what you imagine yourself doing. This should be a storyboard if you are doing a skit, etc.)
Research - (Look up other ideas and each person write down a paragraph and reference information for at least one in their notebook. You can also do a survey to see what people want.)
Choose a Solution - rate and rank each group member's ideas using a Pough Chart
Develop a Prototype - (Make what you imagined. Take pictures, and document in your notebook).
Test and evaluate - (Survey/get other people to give you feedback on your project)
Re-design - (change or edit things based off the feedback given)
3.4 Describe the relationship between the STEM cluster and society.
3.5 Evaluate the impact of science and society based on products and processes used in the real world for technological development.
3.6 Understand STEM knowledge and skills to analyze and suggest solutions to human societal problems.
3.7 Apply STEM knowledge and skills through hands-on research and lab experiments that are focused upon recreating the inventions and social solutions that were realized in the past, present, and possible future.
3.8 Identify key people who have influenced technological change.
