ABOUT INTERPLAST
Interplast works across the Asia Pacific region to improve access to safe, timely, and appropriate surgical, medical, and rehabilitation services. Thier programs focus on building local capacity through training, mentoring, and strengthening health systems so that communities can access care that transforms lives. in addition to free reconstructive surgery – Interplast delivers high quality training for local medical professionals in each of our 17 partner countries, in response to their requests. We do this in close collaboration with our local partners and a network of organisations in Australia and New Zealand.
Their training programs help strengthen health systems by giving professionals the skills they need to restore function – and hope – to people affected by burns, tumours, hand and foot injuries, congenital anomalies and more. In the meantime, their volunteer medical teams work tirelessly to help as many individuals as they can.
It was a very interestting talk and we are pleased to announce that our U3A members donated $900 to assist the work of Interplast.
